What a cookie actually is
A small text file your browser stores when you visit a website. Some are essential — without them you could not stay logged in. Others are optional.
What we use
Strictly necessary (no consent required)
These keep the service working. You cannot switch them off without breaking the site.
- Session cookie — keeps you logged in as you move between pages.
- CSRF token — a security cookie that stops other websites submitting forms on your behalf.
- Cookie consent record — remembers what you chose here, so we stop asking.
- Language preference — remembers the language you selected.
Analytics (only with your consent)
If enabled, these tell us which pages people actually use, so we can improve the ones that matter. They do not identify you personally. If you decline, we do not set them.
We do not use advertising cookies
There are no third-party advertising trackers on this site, and we do not sell your browsing behaviour to anyone.
Controlling cookies
You can clear or block cookies through your browser settings at any time. Be aware that blocking the strictly necessary ones will stop you being able to log in.
