1. General Questions

What is Vaulex Secure File Transfers? Vaulex Secure File Transfers is a premium, secure file transfer platform built to help you send large files and folders that are too heavy for standard email. You can share documents, high-resolution videos, photos, and projects easily via a secure link or straight to someone's inbox.

Is there a file size limit? Our free tier allows you to send files up to 500MB per transfer. If you need to send larger files, you can upgrade to our Plus plan (up to 2GB) or our Pro plan, which offers completely unlimited file sizes.

Do I need an account to download files? No. Only the person sending the files needs an account (depending on their plan). Anyone you send a link to can click it and download the files instantly without needing to sign up or log in.

2. Speed & Storage

How fast are the file uploads and downloads? Our core application runs on a high-performance dedicated server, and all file storage is backed by Wasabi hot cloud storage. This combination ensures enterprise-grade bandwidth, meaning your files upload and download at the maximum speed your internet connection allows.

How long do my download links stay active?

  • Free accounts: Links expire after 2 days.

  • Plus accounts: Links stay active for 7 days.

  • Pro accounts: You have complete control and can set custom expiry dates or keep links active indefinitely.

What happens to my files after the link expires? To protect your privacy and free up server space, our system automatically runs a permanent deletion routine the moment a link expires. Your files are completely wiped from our Wasabi cloud storage blocks and cannot be recovered.

3. Security & Privacy

Are my files secure? Absolutely. Security is our top priority. All files are fully encrypted while travelling from your device to our servers (using HTTPS/TLS) and remain encrypted at rest within our secure cloud storage environment.

Can I password-protect my file transfers? Yes. All account tiers—including our free plan—allow you to add a custom password to your transfer. The recipient will be required to enter the correct password before they can view or download any files.

Who can see the files I upload? Only people who have the unique download link can access your files. We do not index, browse, or share your files with any third parties.

4. Troubleshooting

My upload failed or timed out. What should I do? If your connection drops out during a large transfer, the upload may pause. Ensure you have a stable internet connection (wired connections are best for massive files) and try dropping the files back into the upload box.

Why is my recipient not getting the download emails? If you sent the files via email and the recipient hasn't seen the alert, please ask them to check their Junk or Spam folders. To ensure seamless delivery, you can also generate a web link instead and send it to them directly via your own email or messaging app.
